I just started reading Radhika’s Story.
It’s about a 15yr old girl from Nepal, who is kidnapped (lured naively) and trafficked. The more I hear and read about this topic the more I am forced to think about these things in comparison to my life. The similarities (some, not many) the differences (stark and heartbreaking). Mostly I am (like Radhika) amazed and surprised by people who want to do harm. What must their lives be like to have so much blackness in their hearts? What had to happen to make them so numb, so dependent on doing bad things?
Anyway… visit www.freetostop.org for details on the photography show / fundraiser some local photographers (including me) are putting on to raise awareness and funds to stop human trafficking.
More on Radhika’s Story later.
